Annotation Goal of this course is to give students knowledge about fuels, their combustion physical aspects, practical calculations and measurements of combustion products and emissions.

Aim of this course is to give knowledge about fuels, their characterization and properties, proceedings of combustion process and products.
Learning outcomes

Student has basic knowledge about fuels, its characteristics, the combustion process and emitted pollution. - Ways of verification: presentation, final test. Criteria: ability to understand and evaluate combustion process and end-products.
Student is able to measure various flue gas parameters, component concentration levels and to assess them. - Ways of verification: laboratory works, presentation, final test. Criteria: ability to measure flue gas parameters, analyze and present the results.
Student is able to carry out calculations of combustion process. - Ways of verification: practical works, presentation, final test. Criteria: ability to make calculations of combustion process.
Student has basic knowledge of operation of combustion technologies. - Ways of verification: final test. Criteria: ability to understand operation principle and structure of combustion technologies.
Course prerequisites Basic knowledge in physics, chemistry and mathematics.
