Goal of this course is to give students knowledge about fuels, their combustion physical aspects, practical calculations and measurements of combustion products and emissions.

|Aim of this course is to give knowledge about fuels, their characterization and properties, proceedings of combustion process and products.|
Student has basic knowledge about fuels, its characteristics, the combustion process and emitted pollution. - Ways of verification: presentation, final test. Criteria: ability to understand and evaluate combustion process and end-products.
Student is able to measure various flue gas parameters, component concentration levels and to assess them. - Ways of verification: laboratory works, presentation, final test. Criteria: ability to measure flue gas parameters, analyze and present the results.
Student is able to carry out calculations of combustion process. - Ways of verification: practical works, presentation, final test. Criteria: ability to make calculations of combustion process.
Student has basic knowledge of operation of combustion technologies. - Ways of verification: final test. Criteria: ability to understand operation principle and structure of combustion technologies.
