Annotation During the course students acquire basic knowledge about biotechnological processes, including the engineering aspects and the principles of this biotechnological application. The main topics of the course are: the growth kinetic of microorganisms; different processes of microorganisms cultivation (batch, fed-batch, continuous); the technological principles of fermentation processes; the overview of more characteristic designs of bioreactors; the control of biotechnological processes - methods and instrumentation; sterilization - principles and technique; modern trends in bioprocess engineering. .
