The study course embraces acquisition of theoretical principles and practical skills in quality and environmental management. After familiarization themselves with the quality and environmental management technologies the students are continuing to explore cases reflecting issues on practical implementation of supply chain, logistics and environmental quality management systems. .
The course focuses on supply chain quality, environmental management and risk technologies from the following perspectives: process; activities; standards; the methods used; best practices. In addition to theoretical knowledge, practical application and analysis of the technologies used will be discussed to ensure successful achievement of study results..
The main topic of the course is an overview of the existing supply chain quality, environmental management and risk and security technologies from the following viewpoints: Process; Activities; Standards; Methods applied; and Best practice examples. To ensure that the aim of the course is successfully attained, theoretical studies are complemented with practical deployment and analysis of the technologies discussed..

|•Understands the basic concepts of quality management and environmental management principles, systems and methods in companies, organizations and public administration and their supply chain, logistics and environmental management systems. •Knows the principles of sound and efficient management in the areas of resource sourcing, production, distribution and transportation, while respecting quality, ethical and environmental management requirements. •Able to apply knowledge and demonstrate skills in integrating quality and environment in decision-making on strategic, tactical and operational management issues in supply chains. •Understands the basics of risk management in environmental management systems.|
Students understand the concept of quality, characteristics, influencing factors, are able to use professional terminology, justify their opinion, work in groups and individually. - 1)Group assignments No. 1 & 2.
Students recognize the relationships among LSCM and human resources, quality and environmental management and project management. Are able to explain the use of ISO 9000 and 14000 series standards and their relationship with quality and env. management systems. Students are able to analyze supply chain quality problems, identify the causes of the problems, evaluate quality costs and suggest possible improvement measures. Students understand and can apply supply chain risk assessment methods to assess risks, their impact and consequences. Are able to choose and apply an efficient approach to problem solving.
