|The aim of subject is to enable students to achieve awareness on thermal processes during surface processing, as well as gain knowledge and practical skills on temperature fields by using different methods of processing.|
Should understand thermal phenomena and temperature changes during processing. - Control methods: lectures, individual work, intermediate tests. Criteria: ability to justify the necessary stabilization of heat and temperature flow invariability.
Should be able to evaluate heat capacity and to perform temperature reduction of different treatments. - Control methods: home work, intermediate tests. Criteria: ability to develop and provide surface cooling and increase tool life span.
Should acquire surface temperature prediction and temperature reduction basics. - Control methods: development of summary, independent work, intermediate tests. Criteria: be able to assess the potential for heat changes and ability to make necessary changes for treatment process stabilization.
