1. To provide students with knowledge on the nature of physiological signals and appropriate measurement methods; 2. To develop skills necessary for physiological signal measurement and interpretation; 3. To enable students to enhance their understanding of certain physiological signal measurement.

Ability to name and describe human physiological systems and their most important parameters - Multiple-choice test
Ability to recognize typical physiological signals (ECG, EEG, EMG, EOG, blood pressure, blood flow, air flow); to explain their shape and origin - Multiple-choice test
Ability to explain and illustrate physical principles of physiological measurements; to select appropriate equipment; to describe potential sources of errors - Multiple-choice test, laboratory reports (substantiation for laboratory work)
Ability to use physiological measurement equipment, perform physiological measurements under various physiological conditions (rest, load, etc.) - Laboratory report
Ability to process the acquired data, perform a spectral analysis, use filtration to eliminate noise and motion artifacts, make calculations to extract the required parameters - Laboratory report
Course prerequisites General Physics, Anatomy and Physiology; knowledge of Electronics is desirable.
